2023 industry review: output exceeded 940 GWh

MIIT’s 2023 overview reports national lithium-ion battery output above 940 GWh, up 25%. Consumer, traction and storage output reached 80, 675 and 185 GWh respectively.

The figures describe 2023; the official article was published on 1 March 2024. Annual output, planned capacity and newly commissioned capacity are different measures and do not establish a province-by-province project list.
